ahh..finally..a bit of time to blog....

im sorri haven't been blogging...kinda been out the past few days. and i feel kinda horrible and guilty tho. prom's coming up and let's juz say i wasn't thrifty during these few days. goodness!! i shud abstain myself for the nxt 3 mths...until NS...

anyway, interesting stuff happened these few days...the most interesting (and pleasing) is to see some souls being really considerate. was in a bus otw to town, where 3 people gave up their seats...WOW!!! i was, of course, standing...but it was kinda heartwarming...it's a rare sight...and i kinda got off the bus happy, for wateva reason, im nt sure. but well, when i was heading home on the train, bleah...prehistoric!!!!!!

and yes, went sentosa with the mukas...heh...been a few mths since i went sentosa...it was cool la, but seriously, we didn' do much...apart from tanning on the sand (which was roasting) and then moving into the water to tan..(damn syiok!). we went to palawan beach...and wasted, they removed the volleyball net...shit!!! it's turn into some pathetic piece of sand land with 2 street soccer posts...wat the heck?

anyway, it's alrite, cos i had my share of fun during sentosa disturbing the rest, nyeheheh, especially jeff, who nearly killed us with a coconut and sum medium sized spiked twig thingy...

Daniel was kinda swimming around with 2 coconuts under his t-shirt..ahhaha...damn cute, dasen was also roaming around...and jing was happily tanning and spitting around in the sea some sort....

too bad, digi cams are not realli waterproof...cos jeff kinda did the "Halle Berry" and Jing tried to imitate(right?)....

and yea...tts abt it i guess....cos it was raining pretty heavily...so yea...had lunch...shop around vivo for Da's shoes and slacked at Vivomart....where all all truths broke loose...yeah...

aiyah, not much scenery to view tho...sadly....tsk

ciaoz!

wahey...went sentosa...but kinda late and tired now...will blog some other day...anyway...pix are up on my image links...to the left...

cheerios =P

heylow...juz finished watching "Memento" an hour ago...it's a cool story but damn it...it's a freaking puzzle...took me a while after the show to fix the puzzle backwards...but it's good workout of the mind...

the producers and the directors are cool man...never thought a flashback movie could be done in such a way, im mentally challenged...cool! thank god it was commercial free. if i was watching movie, that means, i stopped revision for bout 2 hours? damn!

tts all i haf...ciaoz!

Saturday, November 18, 2006

oh my gosh...can't believe im so free le...(lots of recall to do ba...hmm..)

but well...i guess 6-7 hours break will do me good for revision...lotsa good shows la...like smallville, charmed and erm...a very interesting documentary on Arts Central abt animal migration and basically survival of the fittest..

damn interesting...about the migration of wilderbeats and flamingoes...they've got this amazing sense of direction! they know exactly where to head in search of water and pastures...how cool is that?!

well that's abt all i wanna blog actualli heh...realised that Channelnewsasia and Arts Central have very interesting shows. they're refreshing and i would say novel...(for S'pore TV that is)...sumhow feel that Channel 5 is losing its touch in media entertainment.

well, there are some nice shows like Lost and Prison Break and CSI and the like but it feels like a chore watching the rest of the programmes, dunno why...tho i do enjoy the news and the parliament sessions, heh.

but hey, im open to options man, thanks to variety, i can always channel surf.

ok why the heck am i blogging abt TV? once again my jibberish jabber...well 2 posts in a couple of hours....talk about qualitiless quantity dude!

ciaoz!

hey..how u guys doing so far...and yes...for those who have ended ur A's....good for you peeps man! i wish you all the best in your results...

n juz as i tot bio students were like the last to end...i was wrong!!! cos i tink lit ends one day after...hehe...lardidum...and there's special paper the following week i think...=P

anyway, now tt im coming to the end of..."theory education", i guess it's kewl to think about certain issues...i've tot abt this for a pretty long time.

for most of us, we've been thru like shit load of exams and theories...education that may not be practical in daily lives...like what has mol calculations or integration has got to do with our social life and for a long time now, we've been chasing those good grades (well most of us)...some of us mug our asses off...well some, spend less effort to get good grades...unfair? well..tts life.

but if you're given a choice of human traits or skills or watever you call them would you rather:have charisma over academic intelligence?

enjoy social excellence over academic excellence?

be street smart over being exam smart?

be creative over being genius?

be blessed with the gift of speech or public speaking over exam skills?

the list goes on la....i noe we want everything la...but hey, life's a balance..not everything's for sale...have u ever thought abt the traits that you wished you have?or maybe you haven't fully explored your capabilities (becoz we've all been too busy chasing those grades). have you ever thought abt which traits really matter in life? have you ever thought of developing traits that you wish to have?

hey dun roll ur eyes!! never too early to think about all these...i guess we must all learn to be all-rounders eh? soon, i'll (and many other ppl) be exposed to the open society, no longer enclosed like the school/college...so my grades would onli help push me off a bit and after that, non-academic traits determine my survival....no longer all those mugging and studying and all...

and no, im not saying you shudn't be mugging and getting those As, im juz saying, life shud be approached holistically and we need to prepare for adulthood too while preparing academically.

well, food for thought.

what do you do if there's a psychofreak hounding ur ass? u can't kill him, cos tts like "death to you too!" but you can't brush him off cos he's a freaking pest who can't seem to move on in life.

damn u di*k, stop bugging can not, u wanna further your freak agenda, ur a nuisance up my *** man, bug off.

u think u can reconcile, for what you did, 4get it man. juz pack ur ass male ego and get out of sight yea. pest.

anyway, had a weird dream yesterday, dreamt that i was performing in a kids show...u noe like Hi 5, singing songs and dancing. part of me felt stupid, and part of me felt wow, cos it's been quite some time i've been around kids.

but of course, when i woke up i felt kinda dumb....kids' show? wa hey, if it gives you a stable platform for a career in the entertainment biz and pays well, wat the hell rite? besides, you get to stay young, especially when you're performing around kids....

oh well load of jabber, well, by now, ppl with Phy and Econs should've ended their A levels. well, good on you dudez, now focus on doing what you've always wanted to do, but nv had the time.

mayb supper at 3am in the morning, flirt with that cute girl at 7-11 in the wee hours of the morning, or sleep the whole freaking day (well, we used not to have time to sleep rite?( workload and all).

Or mayb, if you're not happy w your paper, u can always TRY to hijack the papers which could most likely be in MOE or mayb the general office, and then burn them, and force the whole cohort to retake the paper. Chances are, you'll be dead even b4 you get to re-sit your paper man.

anyhoos, my pt is, your FREE now!!! oh yeah, i forgot, dun forget to watch the funniest comedy in the morning. "Yan can cook", shud be around 1130 zit? yeah, interesting character. ho!

alritey den, tts all for my jibberish jabber today. enjoy your day peeps. good morning, good eve, good nite...and take care..ciaozzie!

wahey hey peeps...gosh..let's divert away from exams for a while yea? was watching blogtv.sg on CNA...i tink it's a gr8 show..FINALLY..sumtink that is..."on the spot" and non-scripted...serials that keep you thinking..but of course..w some exceptions.

i seriously haf no idea that blogging is like a freaking enormous issue..it's an issue yes..but this big?!? i mean seriously...well...mayb naive of me to assume that all bloggers will have like the right-mind to validate their comments and not to blog too deeply abt sensitive issues..but you noe wat...SU U R SO WRONG!!!!!

anyway, my bad........was watching today's episode of Ms Izzy vs Brennan.....my personal opinion..if i may( of course i may!! it's my blog!) i think Brennan juz hates Ms Izzy...heh..he was kinda stumped on the show..if he had an objective argument, then he wun be gasping for air. well accent or no accent, i dun c any problem w it tho...an accent doesn't define a person...but i guess some of us do mind eh?

anyway, i tot tt portion of the show was quite a waste of time...it's very trivial...good thing they brot in Alex Au from yawningbread...they shud probe more into his thoughts cos i think that his website is cool...not only does it allow for reflection and debates, it somewhat provides a fresh perspective....a diff perspective than the govt's, diff perspective from heartlanders.....and in Singapore, we definitely need to approach issues from sound, fresh perspectives..becoz a lot of ppl in Singapore (myself included sometimes) receive distorted version of issues via hearsay and end up not being objective...and tts bad....

but hey, i think we are slowly...yea slowly moving towards a more "open" society where we are able to express out in the open...and tts good...

freedom of speech is good...but many a times, many problems are brot up without any suggestions to rectify. yea yea.. some of you will go "freedom of speech wat? so i should express my take on problems"..yea true...but too much of rantings(like my post today, but i dun do it everyday..heh) will make listeners go like "so? wats next?" and yea, mayb freedom of speech will set us thinking...but if the owner of the argument doesn't strt the ball rolling, den who will? right?

take for example, this is only an example...no factual resemblance
there is a difference between

"hey Su, ur blog is ugly" and

"hey Su, you should change ur skin to something less dull...mayb pink"

most ppl are expressing their dissatisfaction in the 1st form. it leaves readers/listeners hanging and go "uh-huh"...mayb that's y we are still fighting to have more freedom to speech in Singapore. mayb it's becoz we haven't proved ourself to be matured enuf to bring up issues constructively, but it's picking up and tts kewl.

it's always interesting to see how society changes, like SIngapore. we're going thru some hard times now, becoz we're changing...we're no longer the nation we companies come to get cheap labour, rather companies are here in need of a skilled labour, and many are struggling with that. soon enuf, the education system now will be gone. n of course, one other change is the move towards freer expression.

heh, haiyah..lotsa jabbering la this post, but rules of thumb for me if i nit to express an opinion
1) make sure it's objective
2) provide a probable solution (might not be rocket science material)
3) check credibility
4) back it up w strong arguments 1st

if i dun haf these 4, chances are, i'll juz hush. well, call me a wuss, but hey, i've learnt from my mistakes.

re-reading thru my post, i hope u understand, if you dun, nvm, juz treat it as one of my many jibberish post to date...seems like a rant to me, it's so unlike me to rant...but well...i need a blogbreak man...ahhah...ok...ciaozzie peeps.

Disclaimer:
Any issues or expression that closely resembles anyone living or dead is purely coincidental.

wahey...it's been kinda long ago since i last blog..

goodness...have been watching "Yan can cook". tt guy's full of crap man!! and boy does he love to smell...nutin against him la...very interesting character...heheh...

and yes according to weisheng...it's a comedy...ahha...yeah..if u need to laugh watch that...it works!!!

anyway, enuf w the jibberish...told myself not to blog about As...but well...the papers are not exactly impossible...seems to me it's gonna be tough competition thruout S'pore..keeping my fingers cross for a couple of months now...til results day...

still have got one more wk to go(yes i noe, extension of 1 wk for us bio peeps) but hey...we get more time to study...ain't tt gr8? i think so! =P

anyway..to one and all..all the best for the remaining papers yea...and to the J1s, hope your OP went well..yea?

i'll c ya guys around...i'll blog soon..in abt a wk or so...or mayb after grad nite...heh...

take care~~~
