What started out as a plan to head to Mt Kinabalu, evolved into a trek in the Himalayan region that cost us 3-4 times more than a simple trek up Mt Kinabalu.
To be honest, i'm excited and worried(financially especially). As the days drew nearer, I keep asking myself if I am being sensible. If splurging yourself dry for the sake of adventure is a wise decision that I made.
Then again, come to think of it, I wouldn't get any more opportunities to really break out of my comfort zone like this. I prolly wouldn't get the chance to meet a trekking buddy crazy enough to say "eh dude, let's trek the himalayas". and time prolly wouldn't be on my side anymore should I choose to postpone this adventure to another day. So i guess, it's a trip worth going, splurging dry for simply because it's once in a lifetime. it really is.
the benefits of this trip truly outweigh all the setbacks. Back from the trip, I hope my horizon on people, culture, way of life will be broaden. I will now have something a little more 'interesting' to share about myself when the situation arises. And hopefully, I'll be more humbled by the majestic presence of the Himalayan peaks and the people who live among them.
I'll be departing soon. Just counting the hours to departure. Take care yea.
Will see you guys in 40 days. If you're still having exams, all the best for your remaining papers. and i wish you have a fruitful 40 days too! =)
