hey just came back from Wala2....

boy EIC was good...as usual..the bassist kick ass man!! and as usual, im the guy who passively appreciates the music. feel guilty for not giving back the energy though.

and came this conversation.

Lady: You should stand up and dance.
Me: It's alright. Thanks.
Lady: Do you come here often?
Me: Nah, not really. Only when Im free.
Lady: That's why you should make the most out of it.

*Kabish* yea...true..totally agree...i encourage that. But you know, some of us are just meant to be passive supporters. will let loose, but not often..hahah

rocks man, i got a free off for today...wooo nothing can be better than that.

finally, paid my dues and the day has come for me to go..,can't wait for friday. as much as im looking forward to leaving, guess i'll kinda miss the life i've had for the past 2 yrs, life in army that is. working in the army is pretty much cool if not for the regimentation and shit like that. it's things that i've done for many many years now; managing people, and things.

i guess what's most fulfilling is the fact that i get things done and the admiration and respect that i earned from the recruits.

despite being an asshole and strict spec during my tour, i guess it's heartening to know that there are trainees who actually appreciates and understand the rationale behind it and respected that.
messages like,
"You're my best sergeant"
"You've been an inspiration to me"
"I want to be a commander just like you"
makes my job all the more worthwhile. Guess if you do your job well, you do reap the benefits after all eh? guess in the line of people management, nothing can be more rewarding than gaining the respect and admiration from your men/trainees.

well, time to move on now, staying in army too long, can sometimes make you a lil weird. It indirectly cuts you off from the world, somehow. gonna bum around for a while, and then get a job. need to do something man. I'll die if i can't find anything to do, seriously.

that's all from me now, just waiting for Friday to get my pink ic and yes...back to civilianship.
