Hello! Read this off a book my sis borrowed from the library. Many times, we are not able to describe the power and value of a smile. Well here's a decent account of it. =)

The Value of A Smile

It costs nothing but create much

It enriches those who receive without impoverishing those who give

It happens in a flash and the memory of it sometimes lasts forever

None are so rich that they can get along without it and none and so poor but are richer for its benefits

It creates happiness in the home, fosters good will in a business and is the countersign of friends

It is rest to the weary, daylight to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad and Nature's best antidote for trouble

Yet, it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed or stolen for it is something that no earthly good to anybody until it is given away

For nobody needs a smile so much as those who have none left to give!

ahhh...it's time for another blog post from emo and serious blogger su.

Had a blast at an Awesome camp called FOOT organised by NTU ODAC the past week and yea i can safely say, a new chapter of my life has just begun. new chapter, with new experiences, encounters, memories and most importantly, refreshed spirit and excellent company. the past 6 days has been like utopia. it's been a while since i felt this excited and it's definitely been a long while that i met such nice ppl. like realli nice ppl.

altho the camp was basically a congregation of ultimate strangers, some of whom have similar interests, while many are just plain random, there wasn't a point in the camp where i felt left out or aloof. 6 days of camp felt like home. and yea credit goes out to all who participated wholeheartedly. for me, many many thanks go out to the seniors who willingly took us under their wings and looked after us as if we were their own siblings.

one major reason why I chose FOOT is because of the overseas component. i felt that the overseas component can really really bring the relationship and dynamics of a group to a higher level. and it definitely did!! the strength of the bond between between everyone freshies and seniors alike were really strengthen and that is really very heartening. in addition, the seniors were very generous in sharing information, from study tips, to the best types of electives to take. how cool is that?!

tho, we all shared a bit of ups and downs throughout the camp, i guess, overall the energy for all the 6 days were pretty much at an all time high. once again, i cannot thank Andy and Si Ying enough for passing on the spirit and energy down to the group. It was mentally and physically draining, yet, they stood firm and strong and delivered. so here's 3 cheers to our beloved GLs. =)

my hopes and dreams for the group is that we remain strong as a group and build on the friendship that has been forged. such a strong connection should and must grow. i hope we can all continue our journey in ODAC together. for one thing, the spirit and camaraderie in ODAC has definitely been very empowering.

i guess with such strong spirits from within, i won't need another reason to convince myself to

finally!!! it's wee in the morning now. and i've just finished packing my room!! woo..im ready to study...haha..seriously. quite spacious...im getting into the mood now.

haven't exactly recapped my jc topics tho. can rmb faintly la, but there are those fine prints that i still cant remember. worried for thermody tho. haven't studied shit for that la.

anyways, it was frustrating cleaning my room. gosh was i impatient. grrr. but thankfully, packing allowed me to revisit certain stuff back from my jc days and even pri days. like, i chanced upon the well preserved encouraging post-it notes that were written by beloved councillors during the workshop by Mr Lye. (still rmb him) i rmb how good it was and felt to be around them. they were ever so supportive and caring. cool part was that it was preserved nicely in a file and after 2 yrs, the colours of the markers and post-its were as bright as ever. didn't fade. will preserve it for as long as i can, and if i've more space around, might prolly frame it up. i shud strt framing meaningful things up in the near future. think it could haf a pretty gr8 impact on oneself. just like how a beautifully hung painting or a creatively framed up journalistic photo can mesmerize you.

i ought to improve my conversational english. i need to start speaking proper english again. currently, my words are jumbled up, my sentences are not properly phrased, neither are they complete. this must end. practice practice proper conversational english!!!!

and yea, i know i haven't been blogging for a while now. when i started this blog, used to blog quite a bit, sometimes everyday and even a couple of times a day. but i guess now, it's more important that i say, write, blog about things that actually matter and is of quality. i guess this way, it's more fulfilling for me as a blogger, and for u as well. depth and quality is pretty much what most of us need right now.
